We helped launch a well-known leading model and blogger Victoria Bonya's online store.

In 2021, Victoria Bonya's team approached us as they were opening their lipstick store. They already had an online store developed with most of the functionality in place. However, it couldn't handle the visitor traffic, and at the moment of the sales launch, the website simply stopped opening.

Additionally, there was a need to resolve the fulfillment integration issue so that orders could be transmitted to a shipping company, which would automatically pick them up from the warehouse.

We had a total of twenty-four hours to handle everything because the sales were scheduled to open the next day at 12:00

Solution

We rented a dedicated server with high capacity for one month from the same provider that hosted the website previously. This helped us save time and tackle the issue in advance, leaving us time to address functional problems and errors.

To ensure the site could handle the load, we ordered a DDoS attack on the site and tested its capacity.

During testing, we identified some glitches and issues in the site's interface, as well as shortcomings in the order placement process. For instance, when choosing delivery to other regions, the shipping cost was calculated incorrectly. Considering the large volume of orders expected, this could have negatively impacted profits.

Additionally, we completely rewrote the fulfillment integration module. Now, all new orders were transferred through it, and information about delivery status was automatically updated on the site.

Once everything was ready, we were present at the launch, overseeing all processes. We were prepared to respond to any errors swiftly, ensuring the site could handle any order volume.

Ultimately, the site functioned correctly, but at one point, payments stopped being accepted. It turned out that banks have a limit of 500,000 transactions per day. Once this limit is reached, the acquirer stops accepting payments until the end of the day. We urgently contacted Victoria's bank and, with their technical support, resolved this issue

Thousands of orders in one day

Result

The site successfully handled the sales launch and the influx of a large audience. We achieved record-breaking revenue, and the only issue we had to address at the moment of the sales launch was payment limits.

Thousands of orders in one day

After the launch, in the first month, we migrated the site to another server, whose performance dynamically increases under heavy loads. Therefore, if we don't have high traffic, we don't overpay for the server. But if there is high traffic, the system automatically responds to the load and activates additional capacity.

Thousands of orders in one day

Victoria Bonya's brand remains our client to this day. For three years now, we've been ensuring the stable operation and support of their website.

We launched our FitTech startup - a physical fitness club with 20-minute workouts. As a technology-driven company, we've begun digitizing our processes, the customer journey, and data collection as our primary focus.

Customer Journey

We've dissected every possible scenario a customer might encounter and devised strategies to handle each. One version of this flow is outlined below.

4 weeks to digitize a fitness club

Subsequently, we've started guiding customers through this flow, identifying elements that consume more time to automate them. For instance, following the submission of an inquiry, whether through a lead form on Facebook or the website, the following occurs:

  1. An automated email is sent to the client containing detailed information about the training process.
  2. Trainers receive an email prompting them to get in touch with the client.
  3. Smart sheets are updated with entries, allowing us to track activity and metrics (such as when the client reached out, when trainers contacted them, and when they signed up for a training session).

Additionally, we track where the client originates from (Facebook ads, Instagram, Google, direct search, or personal invitations—yes, we even recognize personal invites). If a person comes via an ad, we see the ad's name they clicked on and the creator behind it. As we collaborate with multiple marketers, this enables us to evaluate each marketer's effectiveness effortlessly.

Furthermore, details about the ad through which the client arrived provide us with a comprehensive understanding of the information the user received. On a few occasions, clients mentioned seeing a "free training session" in an ad, allowing us to promptly identify the ad and refine the wording.

4 weeks to digitize a fitness club

This is just a small part of the automation and digitization of processes that allows us to assess the state of new client acquisition at the lead level, rather than mere figures in a monthly report. We aim to process an increasing amount of information to improve and predict our business trajectory.

Relieving Coaches' Workload

Unlike other fitness clubs, we offer a nutritional meal plan as part of the membership. Any of our clients with a subscription of more than 4 workouts can receive this meal plan for free.

4 weeks to digitize a fitness club

To make this possible, we sent one of our trainers for nutritional training. Subsequently, we trained an AI model to work with client questionnaire data and create meal plans. As a result, it takes less than 5 minutes to generate a meal plan. Our AI develops and outlines the plan in a clear and convenient format. Then, a trainer with the appropriate certification and education reviews and adjusts the plan before sending it to the client.

4 weeks to digitize a fitness club

We've even introduced a feature where the client selects their favorite foods, and the AI generates a plan based on their taste preferences.

Additionally, we've developed our own quiz that, based on user responses, creates a skeletal workout plan and selects an appropriate training program.

If it took 20 minutes to create a workout plan and up to 40 minutes for a meal plan, this automation saves us approximately 1 hour per client per month. Consider the number of gym clients, multiply it by your trainer's hourly rate, and you'll see how AI implementation benefits your business.

The Result

As a result, many of our processes are digitized:

  • Subscriptions automatically renew, payments are processed -> Reduced customer return time.
  • Clients receive workout reminders, appointment confirmation emails -> Increased client engagement, decreased late cancellations.
  • Meal plans are auto-generated, then verified by trainers -> Enhanced trainer capacity.

And so on. I've only mentioned a few of the automation methods we employ. In reality, there are many more digitized processes. Thanks to this automation, our gym's occupancy has increased by nearly 2 times in the last month.

Lavida Prague is a rapidly growing sports studio offering training sessions across multiple disciplines such as pilates, yoga, stretching, jayy funk, high heels, and more.

We've had a long-standing friendship with the studio owners, and when they sought advice on creating their own application, we were delighted to assist.

Their interest lay in consulting rather than development, as Daniil, co-founder of the studio, is a developer himself and chose to build the application personally.

Introduction

  • Daniil - a backend developer, lacks experience in frontend development and creating mobile applications.
  • Reservation system - altegio, with open API access.
  • Task: Create a simple, user-friendly, and quick application for booking group and individual sessions, displaying current subscription information.

Work Approach

  • Collaborative design creation.
  • Face-to-face meetings at our office on Vaclavské nám.
  • "Live" code review sessions.
  • Providing answers to questions.
Daniil always came prepared with a list of questions and issues encountered during development. He vocalized his thoughts and approaches to problem-solving. This approach significantly eased my understanding of the challenges and enabled me to assist in finding the right solutions.

The choice of technology and the work plan

Initially, the goal was to create a good application without spending more than a month on it. So, we immediately outlined the core functionality – what the application needed to make sense. Essentially, it boiled down to answering the question, "How do your users interact with the app most frequently?"

  • ❌ purchase of subscriptions.
  • ❌ viewing of past sessions.
  • ✅ the ability to book sessions.
  • ✅ viewing the sessions already booked to avoid missing them.

The plan was to focus on this core functionality. We aimed to make it good enough for people to use, and if there was time remaining, we'd delve into additional features.

For technology, we chose Ionic. In short, here are its advantages:

  • Write once, get iOS and Android apps, plus a web version.
  • Ready-made components (design elements) to assemble your application.
  • These components were also digitized in Figma, where we designed. This saved significant design time because essentially, the entire design process involved dragging and modifying ready-made blocks.

Lavida Prague - Own App in 1 Month

The Result

Throughout a month of active development, Daniil reached out to me no more than 4 times. These were always engaging and fascinating meetings, as I witnessed the app being created. From scratch. By someone who had never done it before.

Lavida Prague - Own App in 1 Month

In the end, Daniil managed to complete the application entirely and successfully defended it as his diploma project.

From my side, I contributed to the app's design, technology selection, and occasional code reviews.

In 2022, the American company Yogurt Media approached us to develop an online store for toothbrushes with a subscription model and integrated logistics.

Requirements:

  • Ability to order replacement brush heads via subscription and individually
  • A beautiful, modern, user-friendly, and sales-oriented website

  • Subscription management for customer (cancellation, pause, changing delivery dates, frequency)
  • Order history and tracking
  • Ability to purchase accessories for existing toothbrushes

  • Integration with fulfillment and payment systems
  • Orders to be automatically forwarded to fulfillment, payments processed seamlessly, and email confirmations sent Mobile application in the future with integrated PUSH notifications.

Technologies

Initially, we planned to execute this project using an existing builder (e.g., Shopify, Ecwid) and add the necessary functionalities. However, we encountered an issue where subscription service support and expanding the user dashboard's capabilities didn't function in all countries.

Therefore, we made the decision to create a custom integration alongside the builder—a landing page setup. Individual modules (ordering, user dashboard, etc.) will be integrated as widgets complementing the landing page.

This approach allows us to swiftly and conveniently alter the design of the landing (sales) page, making it visually appealing while retaining all essential functionalities.

SCAY - toothbrushes by subscription

Minimum Viable Product (MVP)

Unlike a standard project, we had two factors at play:

  1. The client had ordered a batch of toothbrushes, setting a strict date for when sales were to commence.
  2. Developing an application from scratch takes significantly more time than using a builder, and meeting this deadline physically wasn't feasible.

We opted for a NO-Code solution, assembling the User Dashboard using a builder within a week and implementing all the necessary functionalities for subscription management and order tracking.

The process flow for handling subscription parameter changes (frequency) and integration with CRM systems, fulfillment, and payments

This approach allowed us to launch earlier, not waiting for the completion of the entire technical aspect. The business started running while we simultaneously continued adding functionalities.

Results

  • A beautiful landing page that can be easily adapted and modified by the client without programming knowledge.
  • A well-developed user dashboard and mobile application.
  • A ready-to-use user dashboard and unique functionality launched within one week.

From 2021 to 2022 we developed a website widget, iOS and Android mobile applications, a desktop application, and a web version.

Requirements

  • Assemble, improve, fix bugs, and release the project that we received from previous developers.
  • The product consisted of two parts - a website widget and a mobile application (iOS, Android). The website widget was designed for visitors to write to a manager, reserve a call, or directly make a video call to the store from the browser without installing any additional programs.
  • Later, we expanded the product line and launched a desktop and web version of the client for calls and chats.

Technologies

When we took on the project and started looking into the work that had already been done, we realized that outdated technologies were being used, making it impossible to solve some tasks.

Therefore, together with the client, we decided to write the application and widget from scratch. We were guided by the principle of

"better to spend more time constantly than try to fix what doesn't work without having a clear understanding of the deadlines."

Mobile application:

We analyzed the list of native functions that we needed:

  • push notifications
  • VOIP notifications
  • access to camera and microphone

Based on the fact that there are not so many native functions, we decided to develop a hybrid application. This is when we write the code once and get both the Android and iOS versions. Native functionality was added separately in OS-specific languages.

This allowed us to reduce the development time and costs by more than two times.

We chose React + Ionic - a set of ready-made and rendered native elements for each OS. This way, our application looks good on both Android and iOS. At that time, the Ionic team was actively developing the capacitor plugin, which allowed native functionality to be integrated into a React application.

Thanks to this, the first clickable prototype of the application was ready in 28 days. It included the functions of call booking, live chat, notifications, and video calls. Video calls were still weak at the time, but they could already be tested. We conducted the first call-testing from the client's website with the old widget and the new application

Widget

The widget should be embedded on the website, connected to the store, and provide online calls. The most difficult part was to make good and high-quality calls in the widget. However, we succeeded, and we even learned how to control the focal length on the phone and transmit the image in HD.

We also wrote the widget from scratch, discarding the old solution. The first version was made in 19 days with support for all functionality.

BetterCall – live chat for you website with video calls

Desktop application

Thanks to the use of IONIC, extending the application to desktop was not difficult. We prepared a new design and essentially stretched the mobile application.

Results

  • Using of hybrid technologies significantly saves money and time, as we do not have to worry about iOS, Android, and desktop versions separately, we can maintain one code that works perfectly everywhere.
  • Thanks to the flexible development process, potential customers could use our solution even during the rewriting of the application, as we delivered an update every week. This helped to establish contact and announce a trial launch in collaboration with Hamleys.

From 2019 to 2021, we at our IT company developed various products such as a web application, a website, and an admin app for a media outlet based in the Czech Republic. Our main goal was to create a user-friendly and efficient website for a Russian-speaking media outlet in the country.

Requirements

  • Create a clear and user-friendly website for a Russian-speaking media outlet in the Czech Republic.
  • Pages needed load quickly while also allowing for instant content updates.
  • Admin panel needed to include features such as article moderation, change tracking, and revisions.
  • Make the article content and appearance flexible in terms of formatting.

Technologies

Over the three years of working on the project, we developed three versions of the website. For the purposes of this discussion, we will focus on the most recent version which was completed in just 17 days.

Admin Panel:

To save time on development, we decided to use a Headless CMS. This is a system where the admin panel and its entire functionality are built like a Lego constructor and can be easily connected to the website, application, etc.

We chose Directus, which is built using PWA technology. We installed it on our server to ensure that the data was under our control and secure. For the server, we opted for a virtual Oracle Cloud machine which we obtained for free.

The Česko - or how to create an internet portal in 17 days
Unfortunately, we do not have screenshots of the admin panel since we stopped working on the project in 2021. However, we are attaching a screenshot of another panel where the same solution was applied.

Website:

We used React, and to save time on development, we took ready-made design components such as buttons, text input fields, etc. This allowed us to avoid having to write the logic of each element from scratch, and we could simply stylize them to match our design.

The website itself was built as a web application. When transitioning to another page, we only change the part of the page that has been updated, rather than reloading the entire page. For example, the website header and menu remain unchanged, so we do not reload them, but only change the content inside. This allowed us to speed up website loading and make the opening of pages instantaneous.

The Česko - or how to create an internet portal in 17 days

To make it convenient for users to use the website, we added some familiar functions from other applications:

  • For example, to send an article to a friend, users only need to press a button and select the recipient from their recent chats in the familiar interface.
  • The website can also be installed on the desktop as a separate application in less than 5 seconds, without the need to download anything from the App Store.

Result

  • From the Figma prototype, we developed  fully functioning and responsive website. It looks great on all devices, from older iPhones to office computers with large displays.
  • An admin panel was selected and set up, allowing articles to be edited and published in one place:
Previously, editing was done in Google Docs, and everything was manually transferred to the website.
Now, comments, revisions, change history, and publication status (draft, edit, correction, publication) are all located right in the admin panel. In addition, a scheduled publication timer has been added.
  • The "share" functionality has increased the portal's quoting rate.
  • Thanks to some clever IT solutions, the site now loads 9 times faster than similar sites in the region.

And all of this was done in 17 days and 2 nights.
